Resident: Megan, did you know the war in Iraq is over?
Me: Yeah, I mean it's not technically over but we are pulling troops out now. There was like a ceremony and everything.
Resident: Why didn't you tell everybody?
Me: What?
Resident: I went door to door today telling everybody but they didn't believe me! I mean I know I'm stupid--
Me: You're not stupid...
Resident: But I mean, I like read it in the New York Times.
Me: Would you like me to send out a weekly e-mail telling everybody what's going on in the world?
Resident: Yes, yes I would.
Me: Well...I'll think about it.
